LET’S FIX POLYESTER TOGETHER!

PrimaLoft® Bio™ is a first-of-its-kind technology that enables synthetic fibers to return to nature.

PrimaLoft® Bio™ represents a holistic solution for every step of a product’s continued journey.

The use of 100% recycled material means that up to 76% of carbon emissions are saved in producing the fibers,

compared to virgin polyester.

By returning to materials found in nature, PrimaLoft® Bio™ helps to reduce the long-term impact of microplastics in our oceans, landfills and waterways.

Many of our favorite products – from jackets to bedding to wipes – are made from materials that can shed microfibers. No matter how high quality the product, this can occur during washing, normal wear-and-tear and eventual end of life. These products and microfibers often end up polluting environments like our waterways, oceans and landfills. Products made with PrimaLoft® Bio™ fibers have been specifically developed to return to materials found in nature, in an effort to reduce the environmental impact of microfibers and garments throughout their life.

Fiberpartner has taken another step towards a sustainable textile industry

The ambition to turn the textile industry more sustainable is an ongoing journey where every small step can have great impact. And such a small step has just become a reality, as Fiberpartner has received the first independent tests of polypropylene (PP) – one of the most common plastics, used in the textile industry amongst others – produced with PrimaLoft Bio. After 90 days tests for biodegradability, results show that PP turns into materials found in nature to the same degree as PET.

So now we fix polyester as well as polypropylene. And we are still not done innovating.
